| In challenging times, Cathedral City needs leaders with vision, experience, and the skills to get our hometown back on the right track. I have that vision, experience, and skill. We need leaders who are willing to ask hard questions and make tough decisions. I’ve never been afraid to ask the hard questions and make the tough decisions. We need leaders who aren’t captive to special interests. I’ve never been, and won’t be, captive to any special interest, whether in City Hall or elsewhere. We need leaders who aren’t afraid to take the initiative. I’ve never been afraid to take the initiative. We need leaders who will represent every resident, not just friends and contributors. I’ll listen to every constituent. We need leaders who understand how to work with others to benefit this community we all call home. I’ll work to build bridges, not burn them. In the last two years, Cathedral City has been a city adrift. Too many of our elected leaders have either failed to grasp the challenges facing us, or they’ve shrunk from the work we expect them to do. It’s time to change that; that’s why I’m running. In the last two years, Cathedral City has taken a fiscal hit right to the gut; we need a councilmember who can address those fiscal challenges, a councilmember who knows that we can’t just try to cut our way to prosperity, a councilmember who knows that if we want to get our fiscal house in order, we need to grow our municipal economy. I will be that councilmember. We don’t need culture war appeals or divisive, rage-driven rhetoric. We can’t afford more drift and more lack of vision from certain so-called leaders who are content to do nothing while our city suffers. I won’t be a do-nothing councilmember; I won’t scapegoat our city workers, and I won’t play wedge issue politics. I have the experience and the skills to do the work this community has a right to expect from a councilmember, and I'll get to work from the moment I am elected.
